RWMF 2017 was held at the Sarawak Cultural Village in a quaint little city called Kuching. It was an annual festival, we as Kuching-ites felt proud to be the host for 12 consecutive years. Although it has been around since 2005, I never had the chance to attend it until last week when I was offered a free ticket on that day itself. I immediately agreed albeit my worries that it might be too crowded for me to roam freely. Well part of my worries were true as there were many hiccups along the way from the torrential rain to trees falling down on the way back to the city but adventure would not be turned into an interesting story if there was an absence of climax right?
For all the wheelies out there, my advice is go with an open mind, brave heart and a fun spirit with sprinkles of patience along the way. It is definitely doable for wheelchair users to go to Sarawak Cultural Village and there is a hall nearby the stage where you can a clear view of performances and the plus point is it is shaded. Do go there earlier to avoid the crowds and have a better chance to secure a good view.
